Hello! My name is Carol Duhaime, and I am delighted to welcome you to my childcare family. As the owner and operator of Building Blocks Childcare, LLC, I am passionate about providing a nurturing and enriching environment for children aged from infancy to 5 years old.
A Bit About Me:
I come from a background of caregiving, being the eldest of three siblings. Taking care of others has always been second nature to me, which is why opening a childcare facility felt like the perfect fit. Building Blocks Childcare, LLC is not my first venture into the field of in-home childcare. After taking a break, I realized that my calling was to continue serving children and families, and here I am, following my destiny and fulfilling my life's work.

When you entrust your child to me, you become part of my extended family. I am committed to providing a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where your child feels at home. I understand the importance of building a partnership with parents to ensure consistency, trust, and stability for the child in both home and childcare settings.
I realize there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to caring for children, so I made sure to have a variety of tools in my toolbox and I'm not afraid to use them all and share them.

Hello! My name is Nicole Hickey, and I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful Childcare community. With 15 years of experience in childcare, I have had the privilege of nurturing and guiding many young minds, fostering their growth and development in a safe and loving environment.
A Bit About Me:
As a mother of three, I understand the importance of providing a nurturing and supportive atmosphere. My family and I love spending time outdoors, enjoying activities such as bike rides, walks, camping, and days at the lake. This love for the outdoors translates into my childcare approach, where I strive to incorporate plenty of outdoor play and exploration.
Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education, which further enhances my ability to create enriching and educational experiences for the children in my care. I am passionate about designing engaging curriculums and activities that spark curiosity and promote learning in a fun and interactive way.

I am currently working with CU Denver, Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering on Colorado Early Learning: Universal Design & Inclusion Project. This special project was developed to support and train childcare providers to meet the needs of children with delays and disabilities in an inclusive childcare setting, using assisted technology. I am excited to learn the skills offered by this program

BBCC Fur Babies:
15-year-old Chloe loves children almost as much as I do. From the first day My youngest granddaughter slept at my home, Chloe has kept an eye on her. Chloe’s motto is “Eating and drinking, and other stuff can wait; I have a child to watch over.” She does with the childcare children, and they love her.

3-year-old River fits right in with her excitable, loving ways. She is very careful and finds her own ways to play with the children. She loves their attention as they pat her ears and throw her a ball.
